Peter Clarke is a military communications specialist with an international reputation as a leading thinker in the development of Strategic Communications within the Defence, security and humanitarian response sectors.  His military spanned 41 years, five military campaigns, and six years on deployed operations; with particular experience at the operational and strategic levels, and a focus on delivering strategic outcomes.

Recognized as a strategic thinker and experienced planner with a reputation for delivering, he is in high demand to speak and teach on the application of strategic communications.  He has led the restructuring of numerous communications teams to support the demands of operating and winning in the 21^st century information environment and for the last four years has been the driving force behind the evolution of Strategic Communications within NATO.

He retired in June 2022 as Chief Plans, Training and Doctrine within the Communications Division at SHAPE to become Director of Education and Training of the StratCom Academy, a start-up he co-founded to provide strategic communications education, training, and consultancy defence, security and humanitarian response sectors.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communications from King’s College London and specialises in Strategic Communications, Information Operations, Public Affairs, Policy and Doctrine development, Developing Education and Training Solutions.
