Chris Naler is an international security expert with a career spanning 30 years, with service in over 20 countries with emphasis in Western Pacific, EU, NATO, and the Persian Gulf region nations with over five years deployed on operations. Working at all levels of command, he has commanded from tactical to operational levels with his command assignments directly supporting strategic goals. His staff and fellowship assignments spanned the operational to strategic levels supporting successful bilateral and multilateral security policy initiatives and programs.
Recognized as a strategic planner and creative thinker with a reputation for delivering holistic solutions. He supports NATO member and partner nations on the design and application of strategic communications, coalition operations, and campaign design to achieve military and security sector solutions.
He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California (USC) with a research focus on the analysis and implementation of effective Organizational Change and Leadership solutions. He a former Brookings Institution Fellow and currently an Associate Graduate Adjunct Professor in the Strategic Communications Department at Texas Christian University (TCU) Schieffer’s Communications college. He is also a senior mentor at the NATO School Oberammergau supporting the Strategic Communications training programs.
